Story from one of the girls who met Eleanor today at the Trafford Centre in Manchester - September 28, 2013 +
"Meeting Eleanor Calder!Hiii everyone, I’ve been tweeted to post about our experience on meeting Eleanor Calder, so here it is!
Our shopping trip to write for our blog turned out very unexpected today because we spotted Eleanor in the Trafford Centre! At first we were just walking around the shops and I saw Eleanor walk past me. I told Nicole that I wasn’t too sure if it was her, so I asked if we could go back and find her.
We walked past a few shops and eventually we found her in Topshop with a couple of friends. We walked in and pretended to ‘shop’ because I wasn’t too sure whether it was Eleanor or not. We followed her around a lot, and tried to be discrete in trying not to make it too obvious to see if it was really Eleanor. (I’m sure she thought we were weird, me especially!)
I recognised Eleanor’s face shape and her ombre coloured hair, and I noticed that she was quite tall and slim. I kept asking my sister to ask if she was Eleanor because she looked a bit different in real life and I was quite shy to ask. Eventually, my sister asked if she was Eleanor and she said yes!
We told Eleanor that we weren’t sure if it was her or not, but she smiled and said it was ok. My sister told Eleanor that I was a huge fan of One Direction and she smiled again and said “Oh really?”. I asked her politely if we could have a picture and she said yes. We both got pictures, and thanked her for them. Eleanor told us to have a nice day and we told her to have a nice day too, thanking her again.
Just as we were about to leave Topshop, Eleanor quickly came up to us and asked if we could not post the pictures on Twitter for a while. We promised, as we understood that she didn’t want to be found by fans and we respected her privacy.
After meeting Eleanor, my thoughts on her were that she was the most loveliest and sweetest person I have met and really pretty too. Eleanor was so kind to us and I have so much respect for her.
When I got home, I kept searching to see if anyone else had met Eleanor and posted about her location. I saw that a few people had and thought that she might have left the Trafford Centre by then. I decided to help some Eleanor Update accounts, and so I posted the pictures we took.
Here are the pictures of Nicole, Eleanor and I! (If you’re going to use them, please credit us and DON’T remove the watermark, I’m getting quite annoyed now sorry…)Eleanor also followed us on Twitter too, which was really surprising and unexpecting! Thank you so much El :) xxOverall, I would like to thank you for your kind comments and DM’s on Twitter. They made me so happy and I hope you get to meet Eleanor one day, don’t lose hope!!Our shopping trip post should be up later this week. If you would like to read my Eleanor inspired outfit, please check out my previous post to this, thank you! - Alexandra xx”
